Mango Basil Vodka Slushie
I've been missing local Caribbean mangos after being spoiled with them for breakfast for nearly two weeks. The grocery store variety comes close enough to bring that sweet and tangy tropical taste. Adding a bit of savory with basil vodka, this drink is not really "frozen" but more like chilled to the utmost with some ice cubes and setting the blender on high for a good minute.
MANGO BASIL VODKA SLUSHI
makes one drink
- 2 large slices of fresh mango
- 1.5 oz basil vodka or regular
- 1.5 oz simple syrup
- 1.5 oz lime juice
- 2-3 basil leaves
- 5-8 ice cubes
Add your ingredients to a blender and let it go on high for a good solid minute. Add some chiffonade basil and a slice of lime when serving, to guests. Add more simple syrup if too strong or savory for you.
